THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Heat Bar & Kitchen Restaurant Review:

As its name suggests, you may come to this restaurant for the craft cocktails, beers, gluten-free cider or the cuisine. If you sit at the bar, why don’t you snack on the marinated Castelvetrano olives or the charcuterie and cheese board? Now at a table, we recommend starting with the quinoa and farro mixed with beets, goat cheese, dates, olives and arugula in a citrus vinaigrette; Carlsbad mussels baked in saké, lemongrass, ginger and shallots; or the ever-changing daily crudo. Continue with the pan-seared salmon, thyme roasted chicken or the tasty mélange of root vegetables sourced from a local farm. You will want to come back to try the Duroc pork chop or the Maple Leaf Farms duck confit. Do not miss the smoked 70% dark chocolate with mallow fluff and graham crumble. The wine list carries labels from California, France and Italy and is reasonably priced. The unpretentious décor makes the room comfortable and welcoming. Another way to enjoy Heat Bar & Kitchen is during happy hour (Tues.-Fri. 4 p.m.-7 p.m., Sat. 3 p.m.-7 p.m., Sun. 3 p.m.-9 p.m.).
