THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS High Road Craft Ice Cream & Sorbet Restaurant Review:

After owning his own restaurant in Marietta years ago and traveling extensively, Keith Schroeder returned to the Atlanta area and slowly grew his artisan ice cream and sorbet company. Inventive flavors taste good, although seem a bit quirky, such as roasted beet and basil, but you must try his Caffeine and Cacao; the toasted coconut brings out the best of this distinctive flavor, although we'll never abandon the fleur de sel vanilla. There’s also dark rum and raisin; bourbon-burnt sugar, rivaling crème brûlée; fire-roasted pecan among the “heritage collection”; and a sorbet that contains Southern-style sweet tea. Ingredients are organic whenever possible. Open for tastes and retail sales on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with tours at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The ice cream also is available by the scoop in Griffin, south of Atlanta, at Laynie-Bug's Sweets & Treats, 1119 Zebulon Rd., 770-630-9661.
