THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Hungry Pigeon Restaurant Review:

Striking the ideal balance between no fuss approachability and thoughtful execution, the Hungry Pigeon is an all-day restaurant that invites multiple revisits. Exposed brick walls, a sky blue bar and simple pendant lighting set the stage for affable, unpretentious eating with a European sensibility. In the morning, the kitchen focuses on the house baking program, with pastries, coffee and an already-legendary breakfast sandwich. By lunchtime, it’s a place to relax with a casual glass of wine and a salad. Dinnertime brings Scott Schroeder’s appealing, rustic menu that opens with a mezze platter filled with stewed lima beans, roasted beets and za’atar matzo and rarebit made from local Red Cat cheese. Move on to the braised chicken served with salsa verde, refried beans and tortillas or organic salmon with latkes and apple caraway salad. At the bar, serious beers and cocktails complement a modest selection of wines on tap, plus an interesting list of choices by the glass or bottle. Finish the meal with an American artisan cheese plate or a seasonal dessert like maple pecan pie with persimmon ice cream.
