Irvington is set in the space that housed longtime tenant Olives in the W New York - Union Square. The menu offers Italian-accented and comfort food dishes. Sip a sparkling Negroni or a glass of wine chosen from a nicely curated selection and graze on harissa-laced tuna tartare and very flavorful chorizo-and-chicken-filled croquettes. Or pair the classic Caesar with an entrée: Muscovy duck with blueberry verjus; lasagna; seared tuna with rhubarb and watermelon. (Jean Delgado is the current executive chef.) For dessert, consider the hazelnut semifreddo and the citrus cheesecake. Brunch items range from a smoked bacon and fried egg sandwich to a lobster roll and an array of flatbreads, such as wild mushroom with roasted garlic.
