If you’re looking for an authentic deli, head to Kenny & Ziggy’s, a sandwich spot run by a third-generation deli man from New York. The extensive menu features everything you would expect, from cheese blintzes to sandwiches piled six inches high with house-cured pastrami and corned beef. Lox, sable and whitefish are flown in daily from the Big Apple, and you can even order an old-fashioned egg cream. It’s about the only place in town with both Hungarian-style stuffed cabbage and a meaty beef stroganoff on the menu. The breakfast board, offered all day, touts the popular lox-and-onion omelet or corned beef hash, best washed down with a Dr. Brown’s soda. There’s also a limited beer and wine selection.
