Le Viêt Café Restaurant Review:

Notwithstanding its unprepossessing décor and diminutive size, Le Viêt Café turns out some seriously good Vietnamese, Thai and Asian dishes. The restaurant’s chef, Mr. Win, has cooked at numerous restaurants in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and his experience shows. In addition to favorites like vermicelli dishes and pho, there are banh mis including a barbecue pork rendition ordered with spicy mayonnaise ramped up to your preferred degree of heat, starting with sriracha alone, or with jalapeños and Thai chili added. Kimchi fries are an unusual and tasty side for the sandwiches. Larger dishes like the curry catfish or pork chops over rice go well with a Thai papaya salad and a zingy appetizer of Vietnamese salt and pepper shrimp flavored with lime.
