THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Magpie Cafe Restaurant Review:

Located in a remodeled industrial area that is now a vibrant entertainment complex, Magpie is an inviting neighborhood bistro. The brick walls are lined with brightly colored local artwork, the cracked concrete floor is topped with cheery natural wood tables, and the expansive front-facing windows are great for people-watching. The daily-changing menu focuses on local, organic produce, farmstead cheese, humanely raised meats and sustainable seafood, and features salads, sandwiches and several entrées. Starters may include manila clams with saffron and spring onion or a house-cured-meat plate, while mains may include risotto with baby squash and basil pesto, roasted chicken with ginger green sauce, and a pork chop with stone fruit and chipotle cheddar polenta. Desserts are a must --- try the lemon fennel ice cream sandwich, inside-out carrot cake cookie or seasonal fruit bread pudding.
