About the restaurant: Helene Henderson started off hosting dinner parties and pop-up events in Malibu featuring organic produce from her garden. Her culinary career has since flourished, with two Malibu Farm restaurants on the Malibu Pier, as well as satellite locations in Newport Beach, Montecito, Miami, Cabo and Hawaii. The quick-service café is located at the end of Malibu Pier, while Malibu Farm Restaurant & Bar encompasses two adjacent buildings at the entrance of the pier, with one enclosing the main dining room and the other hosting lots of outdoor seating. The area closest to the ocean is set up like a lounge, and behind it is an elevated section of tables and the interior bar.

Food & Drinks: Henderson's forté is comfort food that's also healthy and made with fresh ingredients, from local fruits and vegetables to sustainable seafood and grass-fed beef. Choose from a variety of salads (Greek salad, kale Caesar), sandwiches and unfussy main dishes (roast chicken, black cod miso). Desserts keep it simple with grilled chocolate cake soft-serve yogurt and ice cream. Weekend breakfast features lobster burritos and steak & eggs. Fresh juices, shots (vodka or wheatgrass, depending on your mood), smoothies and espresso are served, as are specialty cocktails and California beers and wines.
