THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Masuo's Sushi Restaurant Restaurant Review:

Owner Masuo Sato, a former pro skier from Osaka, Japan, opened this sushi joint in 2001. The pretty red building on Highway 101 welcomes local sushi lovers to enjoy eats on the umbrella-dotted front patio, inside surrounded by colorful art, or out back on the dog-friendly patio with sunset views. Start with edamame, enlivened with garlic or Sriracha, or opt for the jalapeño vegetable miso soup. For a fun share, order the Japanese fries: calamari strips in potato starch with spicy garlic ponzu sauce for dipping. We also like the texture and flavors of the salmon crunch, fresh salmon rolled around sweet crunchy onions, topped with pepper, ponzu and bonito flakes. Another standout is the tomahawk roll with tuna, avocado and cucumber, topped with eel and eel sauce. The expansive menu has everything from seaweed salads and udon noodle soups to teriyaki chicken and yellowtail hamachi. Waitstaff is laid-back and the vibe friendly. Happy hour runs twice a day Monday through Saturday (4 p.m.-6 p.m. and 9 p.m.-11 p.m.), and half-off Sundays mean discounts on drafts, hot saké and bottles of wine.
