Although it has the sleek brass, glass and polished-wood look of a chain restaurant, this charming two-outlet pub is locally owned and operated. The large menu offers plenty of American eats alongside more traditional Irish fare. Start with the Reuben bites, then move on to the salmon boxty or shepherd’s pie. For more mainstream options, we like the pierogies and portobello mushroom burger. No matter what you pick, finish with the bread pudding. It’s a house-made original crafted with walnuts, raisins and whipped cream and finished with a rich cinnamon whiskey sauce. The wine list is limited, so it’s best to opt for one of the draught beers.
