Momiji Restaurant Review:

This tranquil restaurant has a sexy, sultry vibe. From its warm-toned woodwork to its hand-woven light sculptures, every detail transports you further from Seattle to Japan. The hidden garden, complete with Japanese maple and imported roof tiles, comes alive in the rain. A variety of familiar menu items will satisfy, but for the full experience, opt for the multi-course kaiseki, where a procession of small dishes is crafted per what’s freshest in the market. Additionally, the vast sushi menu features 40 specialty rolls, as well as a dozen daily specials. These super-size sushi rolls are an odd counterpoint to the restaurant’s otherwise restrained atmosphere. For dessert, a favorite is the house-made mochi. To accompany your meal, choose something from the expansive saké list or consider trying one of the saké flights. There’s also a full bar and small wine list.
