This under-the-radar eatery is popular with the Montecito crowd. Rattan chairs, flower bouquets and white tablecloths make you feel like you’re in France. Servers are knowledgeable, fast and on point. While there's plenty of indoor seating, the outdoor patio, with its gentle fountain, is the prime place to dine. Many menu items overlap for both lunch and dinner, and that’s a good thing. For starters, the goat cheese pancakes topped with smoked salmon, sour cream and caviar is a must. Other standout dishes include the fresh Idaho trout salad with spinach, butter lettuce, avocado and a creamy dill dressing. Another signature dish worth considering is the grilled lamb sausage fettuccine with roasted garlic, tomatoes and spinach. Desserts are all made in-house, and the showstopper is the coconut chiffon cake with raspberry anglaise. The wine list is reasonable, with selections mainly from within California; bartenders can make just about any cocktail you desire.
