Noto Restaurant Review:

Named after a Sicilian city and located on the second floor of the Salle Pleyel, a renowned concert hall, this Italian restaurant boasts an original setting. Decorated by designer Laura Gonzalez, the dining room is glitzy thanks to a huge bar clad with Art Deco mosaics, marbled walls, ceiling lights, thick carpet and comfortable banquettes. Patrick Charvet, who did a stint at Pierre Gagnaire, mans the stoves, crafting Mediterranean fare with colorful presentations and bright dressings. For a pleasant meal, try the octopus carpaccio with roasted bell peppers, grapefruit and green mint, and the grilled tuna complemented by caramelized eggplants and squid chips. Finish with a tasty semifreddo with frozen lemon and verbena. Signature dishes include linguine with shrimps and couscous served with fish. Expect an interesting wine list with many Italian labels; refreshing cocktails are also available.
