Oak Long Bar + Kitchen Restaurant Review:

As the name suggests, the enormous bar (all 80 feet of it, to be exact) is the focal point of this restaurant located in Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston. The serious martini, pricey but worth it, is served tableside with its own carafe and four kinds of stuffed olives. Food-wise, start with something from the small-plates menu that features shareable dishes like chopped shrimp cocktail and sea scallop crudo before moving on to flatbreads, charcuterie and cheese. For the main event, try the burger made with short rib and dry-aged rib-eye topped with maple smoked cheddar. Speaking of short rib, we like the hand-cut tagliatelle tossed a unique combination of both lobster and braised short rib combined with zucchini sofrito and pecorino cheese. For dessert, divvy up the sizeable chocolate whoopie pie ice cream sandwich: chocolate cookies with chocolate gelato and hot fudge.
