THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Palihouse Courtyard Brasserie Restaurant Review:

A stone’s throw from La Cienega’s restaurant row, Palihouse Courtyard Brasserie serves as an oasis in this busy area of town. If you head to the restaurant for dinner, we strongly suggest you start with one of the house cocktails so you can stretch your evening in the inviting indoor-outdoor courtyard cut out in the center of the hotel. Then you may begin with small plates, such as yellowtail carpaccio in which we feel the chef should remove the tonnato sauce or the confit rabbit leg with cherry mostarda; or shareable plates that include braised lamb neck in minted peas or crab cakes in a fiery apple chutney. Even though the restaurant is not Italian, there is a pasta section in which we preferred the lighter approach of the potato gnocchi accompanied by wild mushrooms and English peas to the oxtail tortellini. For main plates, the fish is the catch of the day, and the pork schnitzel with pickled stone fruit would justify a trip. As chef Mathew Woolf is British you are going to find beef Wellington on creamed potatoes that is very well executed. Make sure to order the smoky asparagus spiced with paprika and lemon. Finish with the sticky toffee pudding. The wine list is very short, with a few reserve bottles.
