THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pazo Restaurant Review:

This salute to the flavors of southern Italy is masterminded by Tony Foreman and Cindy Wolf of Charleston fame. As with the duo’s other restaurants, the space is dramatic as all get-out; architect Patrick Sutton has transformed a former boiler factory into a multi-level tapas bar (think Naples meets SoHo). The dishes, drawn from peasant traditions, highlight offerings such as the wood-grilled octopus and mussel salad with beans, mint and almonds. Pizza Napoletane follow the methods and D.O.C. guidelines --- the tender-crusted pizzas are first-rate, and there are plenty of choices for vegetarians. Foreman, whose expertise is wine, shines the light on a plethora of Italian wines, listing them by regions. Dress is casual, but many patrons are chicly turned out, and there is a dress code.
