Come to Peanut Butter & Co. for an all-American nostalgia trip. You can eat peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches surrounded by vintage signage and shelves of product, then have an ice cream dessert made with Cap'n Crunch cereal --- peanut butter flavor, of course. The best-seller is the heart-stopping Elvis: grilled peanut butter, bananas, bacon and honey. The restaurant’s most famous customer, Jerry Seinfeld, offers his own concoction --- a toasted bagel with honey, peanut butter and cinnamon. The peanut butter is made fresh daily; Skippy fans may find it too much like the health-food version --- pasty and a tad bland. And gooberphobes will be happy to know that other lunchbox favorites such as tuna and ham-and-cheese are on the menu, too.
