About the restaurant: Piazza D'Angelo has been drawing crowds of devoted regulars for many years. An airy main dining room and an enticing garden patio are perfect for warm Marin evenings.

Food & Drinks: The fare is standard Italian along with some innovative, seasonal dishes that show plenty of imagination coming from the kitchen. Antipasti are stronger than the entrées, including a robust sauté of prawns and artichokes in a lemon and white wine sauce and a carpaccio of paper-thin slices of beef. Fritto misto, filling and crispy, mixes assorted fish with some vegetables. Expect to find classic pastas such as decent cappellini al pomodoro and fettuccine with clams, mussels and prawns. House-made ravioli stuffed with pears, asparagus, ricotta, herbs and truffle are unusual. Crisp-skinned, herb-roasted half chicken with chard and crusted potatoes makes for good comfort food. For dessert, we suggest the vanilla crème brûlée. The wine list is well-priced and features selections from around the globe with an emphasis on Italy, including some limited edition small-production varietals.
