Pizzana Restaurant Review:


Authentic Neapolitan-style pizza has come to Brentwood at Pizzana on San Vicente Boulevard. Chef Daniele Uditi hails from Naples, so expect traditional pies from an Italian wood-burning oven. While toppings include imported San Marzano tomatoes and “fior di latte” mozzarella, there are also more unexpected options. The “Messicana” presents chorizo, cilantro lime sauce, pickled sweet chile, jalapeño and queso fresco. Round out the meal with antipasti (meatballs, caprese, house-made chicken liver paté) and several salads. Co-owner Candace Nelson (Sprinkles Cupcakes) is in charge of desserts, where you mind find salted caramel panna cotta. Look for beer and wine, too.
