Located beside The Pass, Provisions offers its American fare in a wood-paneled dining room, on an outdoor terrace and at the bar. Lunch and dinner menus are seasonal and organized by vegetables, pasta, pizza, fish, meat and dessert. Start with a warm baguette with salted butter and a curated cheese plate before selecting an entrée, which have included pork confit tortellini with a hint of green garlic and a morel-crusted halibut that was perfectly cooked. Vegetarians can feast on leek soup and plates of roasted heirloom carrots and curried white asparagus. There’s a creative cocktail program as well as a short but impressive wine list. To end the meal, save room for the Belgium waffle with smoked maple ice cream if it’s available. A special splurge is the whole roasted foie gras that also makes an appearance at Saturday brunch alongside dishes like biscuits and gravy and steak and eggs plated with a spicy potato and pepper hash. Weekday lunch could be a prix-fixe three-course meal that is quite reasonable.
