As casual as any open-air kitchen/butcher shop might be, Red Apron Butcher offers patrons a chance to cozy up at high-top tables while sipping beer or wine, and munching on one of the meaty sandwiches. After all, this is primarily a butcher shop --- even the smoky and herbal aromas tell you that when you enter --- where carnivores can gobble down a Cubano sandwich with its layers of cheese, smoked pork and ham piled on sliced focaccia or its take on a burger that’s made from ground pork sausage and kale. But for a sandwich taste sensation, the hot pastrami on toasted pumpernickel with red cabbage slaw and layers of succulent pastrami is a winner. Up-front refrigerator cases offer beverages and take-away containers of chili and other goodies for a speedy dinner at home.
