THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rose. Rabbit. Lie. Restaurant Review:

Spontaneous and unexpected are fitting descriptions of the experience here, for at any moment you may find tap dancing on top of the bar, a magician performing magic tricks, a live polka/jazz band, or an instrumentalist playing an antique glass harmonica. After entering through massive doors, guests are led to the Library, which serves as the main dining room and is adorned with stained glass, antique chandeliers and glass curio cabinets. The Study and Music Room house the mixology lounge, with book-lined wood shelves, a wooden ladder, and a long bar. A repertoire of small and large plates runs the gamut, including Russian osetra, California white sturgeon and hackleback sturgeon caviar; seared Hudson Valley foie gras; duck confit pasta with spinach, Parmigiano cream and white wine; Maine lobster pastilla with Moroccan spiced couscous, Brussels sprouts and toasted almonds; and Belgian endive with asparagus, pickled kumquat and crispy Ibérico jamón. If you have room left to splurge on dessert, try the chocolate “dirt”-filled terrarium with hazelnut ice cream and herb flowers --- made with fennel, basil and oregano --- that are designed to be eaten with the chocolate.
