S & W Country Diner Restaurant Review:

For those in search of a hearty breakfast before work, an inexpensive meeting spot for a group, or the right kind of meal to cure a hangover, guests should look no further than S & W Country Diner in Culver City. The aesthetic is that of a ramshackle diner one might find while driving Route 66 --- vinyl booths with tears in their seams, walls adorned with “old-timey” knick knacks, and an exposed wood ceiling. Service can be a bit cold, as one may have to fetch their own refill, but prices are right, portions are large, and the coffee is strong. Heartier breakfasts include huevos rancheros, eggs Benedict, and biscuits with thick gravy. The stars of the show, however, are the massive yet fluffy pancakes, filled with classic ingredients like bananas, Oreo cookie crumbles, or corn and Ortega chiles, as well as the homemade corned beef hash --- nothing fancy, but well-executed with two runny poached eggs on top. Featured lunch items include fried chicken, pork chops and melts; and the onion rings should not be missed. Be aware it's cash only.
