Salud Mexican Bistro and Tequileria Restaurant Review:

About the décor: A relaxed and warm feel is accomplished via a wood floor, mahogany wood tables, framed mirrors, an open kitchen and a unique longhorn skull made of crystal.

Likes: The selection of more than 100 tequilas is the largest off-Strip collection in Las Vegas.
Dislikes: Be forewarned: eating the street corn-stuffed jalapeños with chorizo is a bit like playing Russian roulette --- some are mild and others are fiery hot.

Food & Drinks: There are several surprises on the menu, dishes you will not find at traditional Mexican cuisine restaurants. We suggest beginning with octopus salteado accompanied with romanesco lime sauce, smoked pepper and crème fraîche. Gnocchi Mexicano pairs house-made gnocchi with guajillo mushroom cream sauce and queso fresco. For a great sampling of the offerings go for the Salud Exclusivo, which is enough food for two persons, and includes carnitas with duck, pork belly chicharron and bone-in short rib covered in three-chiles-mole served with mango/citrus salad, cilantro rice and beans. The adventurous may order fried crickets cured in salt and lime. To accompany the fare expect more than 100 tequilas, ranging from low end suitable for shots to aged versions worthy of sipping. Wine is also available. Finish with churro waffles with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and chocolate caramel sauce.
