Sfoglia Restaurant Review:

Space is definitely at a premium at Sfoglia, as evidenced by the small table crammed in the entrance next to the maître d’ stand. What the 50-seat Upper East Side restaurant lacks in room, however, it makes up for with its food. Guests are encouraged to indulge in antipasti, primi, secondi and contorni in the typical Italian fashion. Though the menu changes bi-monthly, highlights include Umbrian lentil soup with sausage and fried ricotta; rigatoni with braised cauliflower, olives, capers and currants; or for something meatier, try the roasted wild boar with mustard and bitter chocolate. When you sit down for your meal, be sure to pre-order --- and save room for --- the torta del giorno for dessert.
