THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Shoefly Public House Restaurant Review:

The centuries-old building in which Shoefly Public House makes its home has taken well to its renovations, making this neighborhood pub a popular gathering place for all ages. Exposed brick walls, handsome handmade communal and four-top tables, and large windows add warmth and brightness to the room's charm. The menu lends itself to choosing your favorites from among starters, flatbreads, greens, full plates and sandwiches. Most items are offered in two sizes. From the greens, pick a small, large or wrapped spinach salad with goat cheese, roasted peppers, pepitas and cilantro dressing. Then make it more substantial with chicken, smoked salmon, bacon, seitan or sliced steak. Full plates include vegetarian options, or try sandwiches like the feta and cheddar on sourdough with apricot relish and pistachios. Carnivores will enjoy the Hoosier, a pork patty with sliced apple, arugula, smoked Gouda and hickory Dijon. Several local craft beers are available, and well-priced wines from the small list are selected from little-known wineries. House-made soft drinks are popular with the adults as well as the children, who have their own menu. Desserts are a must when white chocolate and raspberry bread pudding or bourbon and sorghum pecan pie are choices.
