Simon & Seafort’s Restaurant Review:

One would hardly guess from the outside that this downtown office building houses a restaurant. Once inside, the best surprise is the panoramic view of Cook Inlet, the Alaska Range, and “The Sleeping Lady,” aka Mount Susitna. There's the classic look of brass railings and wood paneling and a noisy crowd. For dinner, the best option is the "Fresh Catch of the Day," which in Alaska usually means wild halibut or salmon. There is a full bar, not typical of most Anchorage restaurants, and the hand-shaken margaritas are always a favorite for a night out. Service is hit-and-miss, but the view is a great distraction while you wait---which means, be sure to request a window seat when making your reservation. Locals and visitors alike flock here for happy hour when half-price appetizers and drinks are kind to wallets and appeal to hungry revelers.
