SUPERBA SNACK BAR IS CLOSED --- "Snack Bar" may be a bit of an understatement for this casual but high-minded place from Paul Hibler, the creative entrepreneur behind the growing Pitfire Artisan Pizza company. The restaurant was designed to be a neighborhood spot for people to nosh on intricate yet comforting Italian small plates. (It has also spawned Superba Food + Bread locations in Venice and El Segundo.) Inside Superba Snack Bar you'll find bar seating facing the open kitchen plus a few communal tables and regular tables. Outside is a small patio that's insulated against wintry weather. Crispy Brussels sprouts are doused with dashi broth and topped with a poached egg. Among the pastas, the smoked bucatini carbonara has been a menu mainstay since the start. Desserts are somewhat limited, with offerings like s'mores. The wine list offers several unique varietals that do justice to the food.
