Sweet Ginger Restaurant Review:

A very welcome oasis of Asian calm in Vienna, this charming and rather chic, sleek eatery enters the pan-Asian mania in metro Washington. But this place is definitely a cut above the pack. Not only does the décor signal some serious investment, but the exotic menu draws in the best of Japanese and Southeast Asian cooking. Earnest sushi chefs slice away at the stylish corner bar, and you'll be charmed by such offerings as the fried soft-shell crab rolls. Then move on to bigger and better dishes, such as the Malaysian roti canai, the soft layered bread-pancake served with curry; and the coriander beef, which has its roots in Sri Lankan cooking. Desserts sound like contemporary takes on the Asian spin: What about a tofu flan with red bean sauce?
