Tornado Steak House Restaurant Review:

Locals like to dress up and indulge in the past --- a time when supper clubs were more abundant throughout Wisconsin than they are now --- by having dinner at Tornado Steak House. Enjoy an assortment of steaks (organic, grass-fed), pork, duck, rabbit, lamb and seafood. Then follow with an evening of live music (Thursday through Saturday only) in the Corral Room Bar --- the restaurant’s underground nightspot --- a block off of Capital Square. For an unusual appetizer, try the frogs’ legs sautéed in brandy with garlic and honey, or stick with an old classic like raw oysters. Separate of meat, the dinner menu offers plenty of fish entrées, including walleye (pan-fried with lemon, thyme, shallots and white wine) and salmon (encrusted with peppercorn and broiled with cucumber dill sauce). A special late-night menu is a serious improvement over burger bars and taco eateries: your choices range from a steak sandwich dressed with sautéed onion and horseradish cream to sea scallops poached in white wine.
