THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Triptych Restaurant Review:

Marked by a festive warmth in service and atmosphere, and featuring work from local artists, an experience at Triptych can be laid-back, kind and colorful. The space plays host to larger, friendly gatherings but solo diners also feel at home in the roomy, streetside dining room (a sort of warehouse café) brightened by wide windows and vivid material draped from the high ceiling. A long back hallway is lined with local art and ends at a modest outdoor terrace flush with greenery. A disco-themed restroom (music plays when you flip the light switch) lends cheeky, San Francisco appeal. Executive chef Diego Salinas creates clean, fresh, modern American dishes with an emphasis on health---lots of fish (including sashimi) and seafood (a grilled-octopus salad), generous seasonal veggies, bright colors and tangy glazes on meat. Hunkier presentations include osso buco and Niman Ranch burgers. All presentations, though healthful, are pleasantly hefty for the price. Brunch, especially, and Tuesday evening’s half-price wines cull lively crowds.
