Uzen Restaurant Review:
This small restaurant --- eight tables plus eight seats at the sushi bar --- is one of the best sushi venues in the East Bay, featuring not only rolls but also nigiri and futomaki. Lunch and dinner menus highlight a selection of very fresh and artfully presented sushi and sashimi, tempura, teriyaki and other dishes. Especially satisfying on chilly days is the Uzen udon with chicken, shiitake mushrooms, shrimp and vegetable tempura. Another good choice is the sashimi platter, which comes with miso soup, rice, green tea and a salad.
