Verdigris Restaurant Review:

Verdigris is the pale green-blue color that emerges when copper oxidizes; it's obviously also the inspiration for the color theme dominating this intimate restaurant. The mood is deeply personal and service casually attentive; it almost feels as if you are dining in chef Johnny Nunn's private home. Nunn (RingSide, Brasserie Montmartre) offers an eclectic weekly changing menu, with an emphasis on bistro French cooking and sous vide techniques. Examples include parsley risotto with crimini mushrooms, a delicata squash and pear soup with poached shrimp and crostini, slow-cooked petrale sole with lentils and carrots, and a grilled sirloin steak with "rosemary jo jos" and broccoli rabe. A small cocktail lineup will intrigue, while the wine list features affordable selections from Oregon, California, Washington and France. We recommend the chocolate crème brûlée for dessert, with dark chocolate notes intensifying this treat. Bread is homemade. Brunch offers choices that go way beyond the expected, such as a grilled shrimp omelet with avocado and roasted red peppers, ricotta pancakes and an excellent Bloody Mary.
