Vincenzo's Italian Restaurant Restaurant Review:

At this downtown Louisville restaurant, the main dining room once housed a bank, and the 20-foot ceiling, crown molding and tall windows craft a setting as elegant as the classical Italian cuisine. Host Vincenzo Gabriele brings his brother-chef Agostino Gabriele’s food to the white linen-clad tables. Many of the dishes, including a definitive Caesar salad, are assembled or finished tableside. Standout starters are the baked artichoke bottoms brimming with crabmeat and dressed with lime hollandaise, and the signature crêpe Agostino, a savory blend of ground beef, chicken and veal baked in béchamel and marinara sauces. Veal is the centerpiece of several entrées, as in the sage-scented saltimbocca and delicately sauced scaloppine. Many of the pastas incorporate seafood, such as the salmon penne and spaghetti with South African lobster tail and shrimp. The wine list boasts many bottles of Super Tuscans, as well as an international selection. Don’t forget to request your dessert soufflé when you order dinner. Flavors change nightly.
