THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Vintage 50 Restaurant & Brew Lounge Restaurant Review:

Rather upscale in its suburban locale, Vintage 50 nonetheless must appeal to the thirtysomethings who appreciate a good brew, formulated on site and right in the large vats adjacent to the entrance. But the restaurant also must appeal to couples, families who brunch, and groups of friends looking for big-city meals without the trek downtown. Thanks to a skilled chef, whose style is classed as “New American,” and a formal ambience, it all clicks. The dinner menu spotlights locally sourced ingredients---for example, an Ayrshire Farm chicken and Over the Grass lamb---and seasonal dishes. A braised pork shank pairs well with sweet potato purée and roasted root vegetables and a Vermont pheasant sausage accompanies pumpkin risotto. Sunday brunch offerings tend to bring out the Southern side of this chef’s cooking: biscuits and gravy; Southern-style flapjacks; and Chesapeake eggs Benedict with Chesapeake Bay crab. Desserts also follow the flow of the season, so you may find an heirloom pumpkin custard tucked side by side with chocolate lava cake.
