Westville Restaurant Review:

Cozy as a country café in Woodstock, Westville is a neighborhood dining room-away-from-home. You can order whole grilled trout with one side from the day’s special vegetables (think roasted fennel or sautéed greens), a chicken Reuben---available at lunch only, unfortunately---or a homey and filling chili. You can also order a platter of three of your choice of market vegetables if you’re trying to go healthy. Salads big enough for a main course include a Greek salad over grilled bread with melted herb goat cheese, olives, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onions and feta, among others. Smoky mac ‘n’ cheese, with or without bacon; crab cakes with spicy tartar sauce and green salad; and chicken tenders with blue cheese or hot buffalo sauce are more than satisfying starters. But hands-down the best-sellers are the fat Niman Ranch beef hot dogs and the small burgers served on Portuguese buns. Get the toppings of your choice (relish is 50 cents extra) and next stop: childhood.
