Yang Chow Restaurant Review:

Open since 1977, Yang Chow --- named after the town outside of Shanghai from which the five founding Yun brothers hail --- has become a Chinatown institution. Prices are reasonable, and favorites include slippery shrimp (lightly battered shrimp that are both spicy and sweet), lamb with scallions and Szechwan wontons in a zippy, aromatic broth. Other popular seafood dishes are kung pao squid, moo shu shrimp and scallops with oyster sauce. Family-style dinners are available nightly and include an egg roll, soup and guest’s choice of entrée. There’s inexpensive valet parking in back. Other locations.
