It doesn’t take much imagination to picture the menu at this barbecue place in Leesburg. It fulfills the barbecue promise: come and get smoky meats redolent with flavor. What sets Yummy Pig apart from competitors, however, is not just the smoky goodness of its foods, but that everything, including the vegetarian beans and the quinoa-baby spinach salad, is made with the chef/owner overseeing the kitchen work. Sure, the sides are stand-outs, but the smoked meats are the real draw --- from the pulled pork to the beef brisket and the ribs. Patrons can have the meats with two sides; decide to wrap up all the goodness in tacos; order a 3-meat bean chili topped with cheese and sour cream; or opt for a barbecue salad with a choice of meat over a tossed greens and tomato salad. House-made barbecue sauces, such as the sweet bourbon mixture, will accent whatever you choose, but why not try all four?
