Certainly one of the most difficult restaurants to categorize, this meze lounge defines itself as “Mediterranean” but offers such American faves as a cheeseburger and a grilled chicken sandwich, both with fries or a Greek salad. There's even a kiddie selection that includes cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and pasta with meatballs. Nevertheless, the balance of the menu blends Greek, Turkish and Lebanese dishes that feature skewered meats, meat-based items such as the lamb stew, pastas and rice, and vegetarian fare. Since this is a meze eatery, each dish offers small portions, so you may need to order an assortment. Best bets: hummus, falafel, and the lamb Turkish "cigars." You can also pick out a wine or two to complement your food, but why not indulge in a cup of potent Turkish coffee? Desserts include baklava and brownies.
