THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED B.B. King's Blues Club Restaurant Review:
The concept of the Las Vegas dinner show is not dead. This supper club-style restaurant features live music nightly, with its nine-piece house band rotating in with booked groups and occasional performances from the King himself. The stage and dance floor are the focal point of this three-level venue, and seating for 550-plus and four full-service bars allow for options of front and center or a less conspicuous location. The highlight of the décor is the original hand-painted tables by Memphis artist Lamar Sorrento, depicting legends of rock and blues. The menu features Southern-style cooking, such as the fried dill pickles served with a horseradish dipping sauce. We also like the beer chili, made with locally-brewed Tenaya Creek Nut Brown Ale, topped with onions and cheddar cheese. Ribs are basted in a sweet and smoky sauce, and the 12-ounce fire-grilled rib-eye is topped with a brown sugar bourbon glaze. In an effort to appeal to the broad spectrum of guests, the Mediterranean pesto delivers, with spaghetti tossed in a basil pesto with sun-dried tomatoes, kalamata olives and feta cheese. End with the banana bread pudding --- a playful take featuring a Hawaiian sweet roll topped with a banana liqueur and caramel sauce.
