Būmu Restaurant Review:
Chef Joaquin Baca, who cooked at Momofuku, The Brooklyn Star and Teo, helms the kitchen at Būmu (“boom” in Japanese) in the West Village, which features izakaya fare. The menu includes fried oysters with smoked yam, baby octopus yaki with shiitake and horseradish, and cast iron okonomiyaki with smoked tobiko, bacon and mayo.
