Although this concept is part of a larger restaurant group, what the kitchen achieves is unique to this venue. With the focus on burgers, bourbons and beer, patrons can expect to eat themselves silly, with sips of refreshments between bites. Despite the burger-centric menu, the kitchen produces steak frites, grilled salmon, fish & chips and a shepherd’s pie plus daily specials. But for folks who like the burger appeal, this place gets it right, with meat cooked to just the correct temperature and sent out on quality buns and even a fat pretzel. Toppings vary, but the bacon-cheese selection is topnotch. And, of course, sides play a key role: onion rings and sweet potato fries are delicious. Starters include chicken wings, shrimp and sliders, along with the American Nachos, a pile of cheese, chili and jalapeños layered on a bed of thick, fresh potato chips. Desserts put chocolate in the spotlight, and perhaps the most compelling is the B Cup, a flourless chocolate cake dipped in chocolate ganache and filled with vanilla mousse.
