| Local restaurateur Steve deCastro pays tribute to his homeland with this chic, sexy Cuban restaurant, bar and dance club in the heart of the city's entertainment district, Power Plant Live! Start with a Mojito de Castro (Cruzan Junkanu rum with lime juice, crushed mint and sugarcane juice) to get in the spirit, then make your way through the spunky menu, a primer on the Spanish, African and Caribbean influences that power Cuban cuisine. Ceviche of red snapper, scallops, shrimp and squid is the ideal starter, with habanero contributing both fire and a fruity essence to the proceedings. Follow up with lechon asado---slowly roasted marinated pork---served with mashed yucca, black beans and rice and a garlicky mojo sauce. |
