Bagel Oasis is Seattle’s answer to New York’s bagel establishment. These bright, cheerful bagel bistros produce authentically firm and chewy specimens all day long. Bagels can be had plain, with a "schmear" of cream cheese, in the form of a breakfast sandwich, or as a deli sandwich. The Fremont Rocket with chicken breast, cheddar, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayonnaise is tasty. We also like the Emerald City Gem, with turkey, havarti, avocado, red onion and ginger-cilantro mayo. Bialys are good, but the soups and salads frequently lack.
