How can you go wrong with a fast food restaurant that reports to using no can openers, freezers, MSG, lard or microwaves? They don't need to flaunt it, though, because the food quality is evident on its own. You'll find many Cal-Mex favorites here, including tacos and burritos with fresh char-grilled chicken and steak. The burritos are the best, and the biggest, items on the menu, including the Baja, with char-grilled chicken, black beans, cilantro and jack cheese. The pesto burrito is also great, with chicken, fresh basil pesto, Romano and mozzarella cheese, topped with plum tomatoes. For a change, try the fish tacos, made with fresh fish filets lightly breaded and fried and topped with cabbage and a tangy cilantro-lime sauce. All meals come with complimentary nachos and a trip to the fresh salsa bar. Be sure to try the fire-roasted chipolte salsa.
