THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bamboleo Restaurant Review:

We think this is among the best Mexican restaurants on and near the Strip, and among the best looking. Furnished in handsome brown and beige tones with leatherette sofas and chairs in a comfortable reception area, a 14-seat bar, a decorative display of beers and tequilas on ice, beamed ceilings, and attractive plants and artifacts, the eatery features a tiled open kitchen complete with rotisserie. Service has never been less than cheerful, despite the huge crowds served each day. Meals begin with a wonderful hot bean dip with chips and proceed through the classic dishes of both Americanized and authentic Mexican cuisine. We like the camarones rellenos appetizer---corn tortillas filled with breaded shrimp, cream cheese and jalapeño pepper. Among our favorite entrées are the grilled halibut à la Cancun with green chile and cilantro cream sauce, and the pollo mole negro---chicken breasts topped with a sauce of dried chiles, tomatoes, sesame seeds, almonds, chocolate and spices .Go for the mixed grill combo---jumbo prawns, rotisserie chicken and marinated carne (steak) asada. The array of luscious desserts includes mango, coconut and margarita-lime sorbets in a tortilla shell; and sopaipillas with cinnamon brûlée sauce and horchata ice cream. Avoid periods when Bamboleo gets slammed with people who've just watched the free Sky Show in the Masquerade casino outside its second-floor front door, or make reservations and be on time.
