THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bamboleo Restaurant Review:

The Selby-Dale area of St. Paul is getting a little southern exposure. With the newest addition of Bamboleo, the scene is getting spicy. Giving new life and energy to the former Maggie's Tavern, the Caribbean-influenced restaurant splashed color and hot music everywhere it could. The menu is inspired from the owners' travels in the warmest climates, and you can see it in the wonderfully spiced Jamaican pork, accompanied by perfectly flavored black beans. Another winner is the Cuban sandwich, a smashed meat medley dripping with manchego cheese and pickles! That said, stay away from the pumpkin soup or the quesadillas. The service was upbeat and fun, but a tad forgetful at times. We're hoping that as the neighborhood matures, so does this potential hot spot.
