Bandito's Burrito Lounge Restaurant Review: Take one neon pink tortilla and fill it with a savory mix of beans and shredded pork and you have the specialty Bandito burrito. It is surely typical of the offbeat Tex-Mex fare at this beer-soaked eatery (plus there’s plenty of tequila for a real party feel). There’s not much on the menu that doesn’t have a below-border theme---except for the ubiquitous grilled chicken Caesar salad---so don’t come hungering for down-home catfish or up-East chowders, though there are a few burgers and vegetarian options. If so inclined, ask for faco (a soy-free, all natural meat alternative), as in faco nachos and a faco taco. Weekend brunch offers a few non Tex-Mex dishes including apple cinnamon pancakes and french toast. You’ll find a pretty mixed crowd of hard hats, good old boys and college kids, so obviously, anything goes here. (Park in the front lot, not the back.) |
