Bang Bang Pie Shop Restaurant Review: A “kickstarter” business turned food truck went legit at this sweet, angular pie shop in Logan Square, which employs house-churned butter and lard in its flaky crusts. It shows in the results: pies with seasonal, local, definitely special fillings justifiably fuel a craze. Add house-roasted coffee and jam and specialty butter topped biscuits, and it’s easy to see why people want to linger in the vintage-feeling storefront belonging to Dave and Megan Miller and Michael Ciapciak.
