Bangkok Joe's Restaurant Review:

Bangkok Joe's has shed its Mama Rouge identity and returned to its original, basically Thai identity. But the big deal in its reinvention is the dumpling bar, located in the center of the restaurant, where busy chefs wrap up loads of dough and then steam or fry them. Besides dumplings, patrons can dig into batches of wontons, pot stickers and spring rolls. Moving on to the main courses, the menu offers small plates (try the Malaysian beef roti, a curry like dish) and plenty of Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese specialties. Because the chef is Thai, you may want to focus on her native cuisine: Crying Tiger or khao soi noodles, for example. Desserts are Asian inspired, as are several of the specialty cocktails. Otherwise, the central alcoholic drinks are beers.
